Leitha was the tenth child, the fourth daughter, of John Wesley and Ella Woodruff Butler. She was born in Aspen Hill, Tn. There she attended school and grew to young adulthood. She moved to Louisville, Ky and married Anthony Rhodes. They had one son, Michael Wayne Rhodes. Michael is married to Lorena Rhodes. They reside in Columbus, Ohio.
